2010 Summer Mission Trips Led by Jim Liljegren

July 14-26: Pskov, Russia Team

This is our 3rd consecutive summer team helping Church Planter Alexander Hubeev establish a "branch" church in the city of Pskov. There are over 200,000 people in this city with only 1 Russian speaking Baptist church. Team ministry activities include: painting children's courtyard equipment, building benches, children's ministry, sports outreach and evening concerts. We are blessed to be a blessing to this local community and share the love of Christ with them.

July 24-August 10: Petrozavodsk and St. Petersburg, Russia

This is our 2nd consecutive summer team helping Church Planter Julian Erenchuck plant a new Russian speaking Baptist church in Petrozavodsk. This city of 250,000 is the capitol of the Republic of Karelia northeast of St. Petersburg. Team ministry activities are: courtyard and orphanage children's outreach, sport ministry, painting children's equipment, building benches and informal witnessing. The second week we will help lead a youth camp West of St. Petersburg with Sasha Kurmaev, Pastor of Comfort Baptist Church of St. Petersburg and his church. Several people from the Petrozavodsk and Pskov ministry will also participate at the camp.

July 28-August 10: Czech Republic English Family Camp

This will be our 6 consecutive English Family Camp helping Pastor Gennady Gavrilov and his Vineyard Slavic Baptist Church evangelize immigrated Russian speaking people now living in the Czech Republic. The camp will also be an outreach tool for 5 new church planters who have been strategically placed in the Czech Republic to reach out to over 200,000 immigrated Russian speaking people. Camp activities are: English classes, afternoon electives including knitting class, Bible class and recreation, and evening evangelistic services. There will be ample time to make new friends who are seeking God. The team will also visit various historical locations and castles.

Training Requirements

There will be four mandatory once a month training times usually held on Saturdays beginning in Feb. of 2010.
