2010 Summer Mission Trips Led by Hal Hays

August 20-29: Kiev, Ukraine

After a busy weekend of working with the Ukrainian ministry team, we have finally settled on dates and purposes for this year’s STM with EII. I say purposes because while there will be one trip, there will be three ministry options. You may chose to participate in one of the three.

First, the ministry dates. We will leave Aug 20 and return Aug 29.

Second, the trip purposes. We will be assisting Almaz church of Kiev in ministry. The pastors of Almaz Church have been attending the Shepherd’s Conference for the previous three years.

The primary reason for going is for leadership training of believers. I will be teaching from the book of 2 Timothy. Those involved in leadership training with me will be leading small group discussions. I will train you and give you the questions from which you will be leading your discussions.

The second reason we are going is to assist Almaz church in the completion of its church building. They have been participating in their building project for several years and are in the final stages of completion. Those involved in this project will be helping the finish carpenters going on this trip with plumbing, painting, carpeting and general cleaning of the facility. Once we are finished, the church will be able to move into the building and save over $2,000/month in rent that will be applied toward the work of their ministry in Kiev. We are making them more self-sufficient.

The third reason we are going is to assist Almaz church in its outreach to orphans. They have been ministering to orphans for several years and we will come alongside them in continuing this ministry of love to the parentless.

The cost of the trip is $3,000. It could be less if our group is large. I am looking for fifteen people minimum and can take thirty – thirty would be better.

Training Requirements

There will be four mandatory once a month training times usually held on Saturdays beginning in Feb. of 2010.
